Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has faced criticism from Jose Mourinho for his failure to track back this season, but it seems the Belgian just doesn’t like defending… or defenders.
Hazard was asked by Uefa.com to name his five-a-side dream team and he didn’t include a single defensive-minded player or a goalkeeper, while taking the unusual step of excluding both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Err… rush goalies it is, lads.
Despite the absence of Ballon d’Or favourite Messi, Hazard’s team did have a South American feel, with legendary Argentine playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme joining tricky Brazilian duo Ronaldinho and Robinho in the side.
The quintet is made up by two French World Cup and European Championship winners, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and Real Madrid great Zinedine Zidane.
With three former Madrid players and two ex-Barcelona stars making up the team, Hazard’s choices will do little to quell speculation that the playmaker could make a big-money move to La Liga in the future…
The Chelsea forward has taken the unusual step of leaving the world's two best players out of this dream five-a-side team, which has a distinctly early 2000s feel
