African Governments Show Improvements But Progress 'Stalls'

Thirty-three out of Africa's 54 countries have shown improvements in the way they are governed over the last four years, research has found.

But the researchers behind the Ibrahim Index of African Governance say progress "is stalling".
The index measures changes in development, human rights, security and economic opportunity.
Mauritius and Cape Verde are the top-ranked countries, and South Sudan and Somalia are at the bottom of the index.

Nigerian Senators and House Reps Members Want Life Pension!!!

It has been reported that the National Assembly approved on Thursday, February 19, 2015 life pension for the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. This should not be allowed because of many reasons.

First, the federal legislators are the highest paid in the world despite the fact that they are part-time legislators who go on recess for over four months in the year and do not sit on Mondays and Fridays!

If the President of the Senate, David Mark, is put on pension, he will be on a second pension after retiring from the army as a senior officer! Will he now retire twice from the same government?

The same can be said of the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Legislation is not a full life work that should warrant life pension like civil servants who serve for at least 15 years. People of goodwill should look into this before we are ripped off. The same is the issue of life pension and fantastic entitlements by the governors.

Aunt Ngozi and Uncle Chukwuma are Fighting

Uncle Chukwuma Soludo who is a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Aunt Ngozi Okonjo Iweala have decided to lock horns over the terrible and scaring dwindling turn Nigeria's economy has taken alongside the naira.

Uncle Chukwuma had alleged that over N30trillion had been stolen from the coffers of the Nigerian Government under the watch of the Minister of Finance, Aunt Ngozi

he also said that the nation is in for a very turbulent time this year because the economy had been grossly mismanaged under our dear Aunt Ngozi and Daddy GEJ

Buhari Has Tried His Best and He Should Simmer!

Let us look at Buhari's records:

* His generation is a very privileged one,
* In 1975 at the age of 33, he was appointed the Military Governor of the North-Eastern State,
present day Borno & Yobe states.
* In 1976 at the age of 34 he became the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources.
* In 1978 at the age of 36 he became the Chairman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation
   (NNPC).
* In 1983 at the age of 41, he became the Military Head of State.

Nowadays, many Nigerians at age of 35 are still unemployed and still one room apartment. Many are still not married.

Life is a race, Buhari has ran his race, he should pass the torch on to the younger generation and let us run our race as well.

I Will Beat Buhari in a 400M Race! - GEJ

GEJ working out in the gym

So our dear President has decided to let Nigerians know that he is still strong, capable and fit to take on anybody at anytime. A video of him working out in the gym somehow managed to find its way on to the internet. The video showed the president exercising and also playing tennis.

This is in precedence to a statement released from the presidency through the presidential media office that "Mr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan dares General Muhammadu Buhari to join him on a 400M race and see if he (Buhari) would not collapse before the end of the race."

Eh!...I sincerely hope the retired General would not attempt to take up GEJ's challenge o. Abi what is the meaning of all these? How can the two most foremost men in the country take to the stadium together? What if they both collapse before the end of the race? They should stop playing all these dangerous gambit between themselves for the sake of a nation of over 170 Million people please.

But seriously...who do you think would win the race if the two men take to the race track? I want to know o because yours faithfully is curiously curious about the outcome of such challenge or aren't you curious to know who would win as well?

Fear of 2015 Elections: Politicians, CEOs move families abroad!!!

So, finally we are in 2015 now. The so called dreaded 2015 that Nigerians from all walks of life have been dreading for months now. So many speculations and rumours has flown around in the last year. Rumours of Nigeria going to break up, the country up in fire, the army boys snatching power and so on and so forth.

And here we are now, the 2015 that has made so many folks relocate their families to their various villages from the cities in which they reside! And many people are still moving out in droves from the cities and the supposedly danger zones where they currently reside.

Now the phobia has shifted away from ordinary Nigerians to the rich and powerful ones in Nigeria - I mean the Politicians, yes, our leaders o. The same bunch of people we are all aiming to brutalize and hack ourselves for if the election doesn't go our way.

Buhari can’t remember his phone number –Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan

The President wondered how Buhari would develop the country’s economy, a feat he could not achieve while he was in office as head of state between 1983 and 1985.

“Is it now that Buhari cannot even remember his own phone number that he can change the economy of the country.” Jonathan asked?

So my people, there you have it. Are we to believe President Goodluck Jonathan and conclude that General Buhari can't remember a thing or shall we debunk this allegation?

FUNNY NIGERIA: 90-year-old asked to bring 1950 appointment letter to get pension

Pa Jacob Kehinde Babajide

Now almost 91, with all of his children married and his wife and best friend of many years ‘gone to be with the Lord’, Pa Jacob Kehinde Babajide’s life has become even quieter these days especially since August 2010 when his monthly pension was abruptly stopped.

Why because the new man in charge of his pension insisted that baba must bring his appointment letter given to him by the government in 1950, a letter that was given to him before the pension manager was even born.

We wont stop hearing funny events. anyway I feel pity for this man. please pass this on to save many more of our old papas o!
