Let us look at Buhari's records:
* His generation is a very
privileged one,
* In 1975 at the age of 33, he was appointed the
Military Governor of the North-Eastern State,
present day Borno &
Yobe states.
* In 1976 at the age of 34 he became the Minister for
Petroleum and Natural Resources.
* In 1978 at the age of 36 he became the
Chairman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC).
* In 1983 at the age of 41, he became the Military Head of State.
Nowadays, many Nigerians at age of 35 are still
unemployed and still one room apartment. Many are still not married.
Life is a race, Buhari has ran his race, he should pass the torch on to the younger generation and let us run our race as well.
We still believe in one Nigeria and we the youth are ever looking forward to brighter days. The days when we would be able to take over the mantle of leadership as its our fundamental rights to answer to the call of duty of our father land.
Buhari and other ancient relics like him should retire from public life and give opportunities to the younger generations. Or do they want the country to die alongside them? Because millions of Nigerian youth today do not possess any leadership skills.
Yours faithfully is still waiting to know why young Nigerians would want to vote in a 72 year old ex-dictator who was responsible for toppling the democratically elected government of Shagari in 1983.
