Chris Hartford once said Ultimately, leadership is not about glorious crowning acts. It’s about keeping your team focused on a goal and motivated to do their best to achieve it, especially when the stakes are high and the consequences really matter. It is about laying the groundwork for others’ success, and then standing back and letting them shine. and our very own Nelson Mandela also stressed that It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
But how can you become a good leader if you know nothing about EXCELLENCE? An Excellent man is a Lion, not a sheep! Alexander the Great once said and I quote “I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion. ” Who do you want to be to lead your team, a sheep or a LION?
To be a Lion, you need to start pursuing excellence in life! If you really desire winning in all aspects of your life, you must focus on achieving excellence as Confucius once said and I quote “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.”
