Pastor Umo Ene, a Governorship aspirant for the 2023 race and commissioner for Lands and Water Resource, has assured the Akwa Ibom people that he is capable of transforming the state, sustain and expand Governor Emmanuel’s industrialization stride. He made this known when he consulted the Akwa Ibom state Council if the Nigerian Union of Journalists at the secretarial in Uyo.
Eno said the Ibom air which was established would be utilized to drive tourism in the state if selected for the Governorship election coming 2023. He also said that he would pay more attention to agricultural and tourism sectors of the state where he would use it to develop the state and provide job opportunities, ensure food sufficiency for all.
In his speech, he stated that he understand the interest and intention of Governor Emmanuel to industrialize and make peace reign in the state said he promised to maintain his lofty programmes. He also assured that he would complete all projects which may not have been completed by Governor Udom’s Administration.
Mrs. Felicia Bassey, the Deputy Speaker, while speaking on behave of the state house of assembly, had repeated that the House of assembly would support the aspirant in the coming Governorship election.
The state chairman on Nigeria council, Mr. Amos Etuk, promised to partner with the Aspirant for the development of Akwa Ibom state if elected into office. He also applauded Pastor Umo for the instituting Development Journalism award and thanked him for his kindness to the Union.
