Pastor Oyakhilome’s wife files for divorce in London court, alleges adultery

The dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Christian Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase,

According to the TheCable, the wife is seeking divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery”. She outlined several allegations against the pastor which cannot be published for legal reasons. The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence. Efforts to reconcile the popular couple, whose church is one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and has branches all over world, have failed.

MEET BOKO HARAM'S CHIEF SPONSOR and World's Most Deadliest Terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

Ibrahim ibn Awwad ibn Ibrahim ibn Ali ibn Muhammad al-Badri al-Samarrai, formerly also known as Dr Ibrahim and Abu Du'a, most commonly known by the nom de guerre Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and in an attempt to claim him as a descendant of Muhammad, more recently as Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Al-Husseini Al-Qurashi and now as Amir al-Mu'minin Caliph Ibrahim, has been named the Caliph—head of state and theocratic absolute monarch—of the self-proclaimed Islamic State located in western Iraq and north-eastern Syria. He is the former leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), alternatively translated as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

On 4 October 2011, the US State Department listed al-Baghdadi as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist and announced a reward of up to US$10 million for information leading to his capture or death. Only Ayman al-Zawahiri, chief of the global al-Qaeda organization, merits a larger reward (US$25 million).

22 Reasons Why Buhari Can Never Rule Nigeria

In my books, Buhari is a pretentious anti-corruption fighter. The trajectory of a man's journey in public life matters. For the follwoing reasons I can not vote for Buhari

1. He is an oligarch who does not believe in equality before the law. The way he jailed Lateef Jakande, Jim Nwobodo, Ambrose Ali, Pa Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ayo Ojewumi on cases that had no foundation and allowed Awwal Ibrahim, the then Niger State governor, who was arrested in Heathrow Airport in London with 14 million pounds sterling and several millions of Naira and dollars to be under house arrest is my evidence. He also allowed Shehu Kangiwa, Sokoto State Governor who conducted and supervised the famous Bakolori Massacre of poor peasant farmers whose land were appropriated without compensation to remain under house arrest.

Boko Haram Militants Seizes Police Academy In Borno

Northern Nigeria's riot police training academy has been overrun by Boko Haram Islamist militants, a witness in Borno state has told the BBC.
Shots were heard after the militants arrived in three armoured vehicles and on dozens of motorcycles, he said.
A police spokesman confirmed the attack while a senior security source said it had not been possible to communicate with the academy since Wednesday.
The Liman Kara college is near Gwoza town, seized by Boko Haram this month.
Thousands have been killed across north-eastern Nigeria since Boko Haram launched its violent campaign for an Islamic state in 2009.

"Why do two white Americans get the Ebola serum while hundreds of Africans die?”

That was just media yammering, but it was echoed on streets and in subways by otherwise reasonable people.
Never mind that there seem to have been no more than eight doses of the serum in existence.
Never mind that the white people in question—Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol—who received three of those doses before they were flown home to the U.S. got perilously ill in the first place because they risked their lives helping Ebola victims in Liberia who happened to be black.

Few out of The Many Sins of General Buhari

I read Buhari’s comment and I almost laughed.
He said ..
”Our country has gone through several rough patches, but never before have I seen a Nigerian President declare war on his own country as we are seeing now.”
Grandpa Buhari, you can lie ooo, do u think that Nigerians have forgotten? What about the wars you declared on innocent Nigerians as a military ruler… Your tolerance for opposition was superb then I assume, so holistic that you jailed so many people without fair trial. As an oligarch and military ruler, you didn’t believe in equality before the law.

Ebola: How Did Nigerian Nurse Supposedly Under Surveillance Found Her Way To Enugu

This is really crazy, we now have two Nigerian cities on the Ebola Risk List. This virus has continued to put Nigerian citizens on the edge ever since Terrorist Sawyer imported it via MMIA Airport in Lagos.

And now, the virus has found its way into Enugu through the strong headed, stubborn and useless terrorist look alike Nurse who was placed under surveillance by the Lagos State Government and advised not to travel out of the state. <! --more-->

But whose fault is it? The Nurse who ignored travel advise and adamantly escaped into Enugu state? Or the Government that has continued to fail woefully in their duties to protect the citizens of this nation?

I dare to ask, who should rather be in chains and tight security watch if not the potential Ebola patients placed on quarantine by the government. The question that is begging for answer is that:

* what kind of quarantine are we talking about and where were the suspects quarantined.

* how are they monitoring those that are under surveillance?

* has the media been fooling us to put our mind to rest by feeding us false information on the true Ebola situation in Nigeria?

* where are the passengers that journeyed together with the terrorist Nurse while on her way to Enugu

* If they have quarantined the nurse's family members, have they quarantined all the people she made contact with from Lagos to Enugu both in the bus and at the motor parks?

If the government and Nigerian health experts can not give us accurate answer on the above questions, then I dare to conclude that Ebola is fast spreading by the day in Nigeria and its rapidly running out of containment.

My advise is for all Nigerians to switch to "self-protective mode". We should start doing everything possible to safeguard ourselves and that of our loved ones.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

STUPID: Deadly Cobra Sank its Teeth into Woman Who Tried To Take a Selfie With It

Wonders shall never cease to exist in this our world o! Imagine! How can a full blown adult be so stupid and dumb to the extent that she would want to take a selfie picture with a Venomous and Deadly live and un-caged Cobra?

The woman is now in a coma in hospital after being bitten by the cobra as she posed for a selfie with the snake.

Police said the man who was said to have convinced her to have the picture taken with the venomous creature has been arrested.

According to officers, Oliver Matveyev, 34, had been offering to take pictures of people with the snake in Russia for years.

Reports suggest he had not been carrying any antidote for the cobra's bite and he had failed to have the snake made safe by removing its venom.

Police said they were awaiting a condition check on the young woman.

If the young woman dies, Matveyev has been told he could face manslaughter or even murder charges.

Ehn Ehn! So Why Did Enugu Deputy Governor Slumped in Court

It is not normal for a well fed and wealthy man to just slump from his seat in court if there's is nothing else attached to the occurrence.

Well in my opinion, I think it will suffice to conclude that Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi the Deputy Governor of Enugu State slumped while standing trial for the allegations of mass corruption, money laundering and misappropriation of government funds brought against him because of the shock he had experienced from knowing that he had his hands soiled and if he were to be found guilty, he will spend a long time in jail. Abi? What do u all reason?

There would be no reason for a man to shake and shiver if he knows that his hands are clean and he is innocent. It is highly unusual for a bird to shiver even in a serious sick state if it has not been beaten by the rain.

Anyway, he has been rushed out of the court to an undisclosed hospital by his wife, family and some aides.

The Deputy Governor had arrived the court in company of his lawyers Wednesday morning and began his evidence at 9.30 am but three hours five minutes later, he reportedly collapsed and his wife and others present rushed forward to rescue him.

TODAY IN HISTORY: First Presidential Election in Nigeria was held in 1979

1979 is a remarkable year in Nigeria. That was the year that Nigeria held its first presidential elections nationwide after years of military dictatorship and a number of coup d'etats. Shagari won the 1979 election with the help of his campaign manager, Umaru Dikko. The campaign had the support of many prominent politicians in the North and among southern minorities. The party's name was National Party of Nigeria (NPN) and its motto was "One Nation, One Destiny" and was seen as the party best representing Nigeria's diversity.

Osun Governorship Elections 2014 – Live Updates #OsunDecides

The Osun State governorship election holds today August 9, with 20 candidates representing 20 political parties vying for the ticket to the Osun Government House. Apparently, the contest is between Rauf Aregbesola, the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Candidate (APC) and Iyiola Omisore, a former Senator and candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). Fatai Akinbade, a former Secretary to the State Government and candidate of the Labour Party (LP), is, however, hoping to spring a surprise on both major contenders. A total of 1,407,222 registered voters (INEC’s post March 2014 CVR) spread across three Senatorial Districts – each of the Districts have 10 local governments – are expected to cast their votes. The gender distribution of the voters shows that there are 661,394 (47%) male and 745,828 (53%) female voters across 332 Wards, 3,010 Polling Units, and 3,379 Voting Points in the state. Osogbo, the state capital, has the highest number of registered voters with a 110,670, followed closely by Ife Central with a voting population of 95,471. While Mr. Aregbesola enjoys a huge support in the capital, Mr. Omisore hails from Ile-Ife. 19 domestic and 10 foreign observers were accredited by INEC to monitor the election. Why the Ebola Vaccine Won't Be Administered in Africa

The earliest the world can expect a vaccine to curb spreading of Ebola in West Africa is about a year away, scientists say. And, even if the vaccine passes the initial phase of testing in the U.S., it is unclear how effective it will be overseas.

ITS NOT MY BACKYARD: The U.S. Is Sitting on Promising Ebola Vaccines

Ebola was once thought to be an intermittent scourge limited to the bush of Central Africa. The virus would jump from its animal hosts to a nearby community eating those animals, but these outbreaks flared up and quickly “burned out,” killing about 1,600 people over the nearly four decades since the first case was identified in a Sudanese factory worker in 1976.

Nyako’s deputy, Bala Ngilari takes Adamawa to court, wants to be sworn in as governor

Mr. James Bala Ngilari, the former deputy governor of Adamawa State has reportedly applied to a federal high court, Abuja, asking to be sworn in as the governor of the state ater h has submitted his resignation letter to the State House of Assembly some months back before Murtala Nyako was impeached. It is mandatory to ask why he wants to come back into governance after voluntarily leaving.

Well, we might either call him a stupid man or a smart fellow. Stupid because he forwarded his resignation letter to the State House of Assembly instead of submitting it to the Governor's office.

Or a smart fellow in the sense that he deliberately forwarded his resignation letter to the State House of Assembly in order to escape being indicted along with his former boss whose ship was already sinking by then thereby giving him an insurance policy to come back and sue the State House of Assembly to anoint him as the governor of the state because his resignation letter didn't follow due process.

And guess who is defending him in court; Festus Keyamo the tiger!

Where legal means are a mirage, other means pass on the score board. May God deliver us from all this wuruwuru politicians that are skilled in the art of manipulating and undermining the law and the constitution

Of The Fisherman And The Fish: Of Jonathan And Billion Naira Greed

Our elders often remind us to remember where we are coming from, the son of whom we are and our roots. Though these elders' mouth may be toothless and have foul smells but it doesn't change the fact that wise words pass out through those mouths from the depth of their heart.

My Country: A Molue In Permanent Reverse Mode

I’m often fascinated at the sight of those big mass transit buses used as popular modes of transportation in one of the southwestern port city of my country. This buses popularly known as Molue by virtually all citizens residing in the south western part of my country has somehow found its way into the legends and fables of my people.

First Encounter
Going down memory lane, I remembered the day I came into this world. Sipping into my blurry vision and half opened little eyes were faint shades of illuminations I’ve never seen before. In the land where I come from, there are huge rays of lights, golden streets, diamond floors and many people going about in bright white garments. Such faint illumination as I see now I have never seen before. If this is where my maker wants me to come – then, I better go back and lay my complaint at His feet. As I tried to go back, I felt a strong hold pulling and jerking me out of the little enclosure that has come to be my closest ally for nine long months during my sojourn to earth.

BLOOD RED MOON

"The woman with the calabash nudged her, then motioned to some other people close
by. ‘Bianu, come,’ she said. ‘Come and take a look.’ She opened the calabash. ‘Take a

the ashy-grey skin and plaited hair and rolled-back eyes and open mouth. She stared at
it for a while before she looked away. Somebody screamed. The woman closed the
calabash. ‘Do you know,’ she said, ‘it took me so long to plait this hair? She had such
thick hair,"
