The newly sworn in Governor of Adamawa State, Bala Ngilari has described his emergence as a divine intervention of God, pledging to partner with other stakeholders to create an enabling environment for peace and progress in the state.
He stated this in his acceptance speech Wednesday, while taking his oath of office at the Banquet hall Yola.
He said, “Without peace there cannot be development, I’m calling on people of the state to rally round his administration for Adamawa to move forward.
“I promise to run an open government with transparency and fairness to all including women and youths.
“I thank the Peoples Democratic Party and President Goodluck Jonathan for their support and cooperation.”
The oath of office was administered by the President, Customary Court of appeal Justice Andu Lagre.
Ngilari has appointed Mallam Chubado Tijjani as his chief of Staff.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
