BE THE JUDGE: Is This Sanity or Insanity

I just came across this picture online now and it got me thinking what has happened to the morals of Nigerian ladies of nowadays. Isn’t there no limit to the level of insanity and immorality they are willing to go to all in the name of fashion?

Does dressing like the lady in the picture fetch you the man of your dreams? that is a complete NO NO.

Just like the age old adage says “the way you dress is the way you will be addressed”, I also say if I come across a lady dressed like the lady in this picture, I will treat her the same way I’ll treat the insane man in the picture.

What’s your take on this, should we continue to allow this among our ladies?

The differences between both leaders are obvious…it needs no telling…

Funny but true

PHOTOS: This is Proof that Fulani Herdsmen are the North's Secret Army

They are grabbing land by force

When they attacked Agatu, helicopters were dropping supplies for them

They are not just fulani herdsmen, they are being sponsored by unknown persons in high places

Is it normal for an ordinary cattle rearer to be going about with automatic rifles?

None of them has ever been caught when even the more vicious Boko Haram have no hiding place

Their attacks are always carefully planned and carried out

They are systematically penetrating into all the regions of Nigeria.

They are the only few that even the police can’t arrest for carrying automatic weapons

There are so many laws in Nigeria’s Constitution that protects them

They are the North’s Secret Army and they are very effective at that because they keep moving from place to place leaving desolation and horror in their wake.

Nigeria Customs Donates Seized Food Items to Victims of Boko Haram in Buni Yadi, Yobe State

custom2

The Nigerian Customs Service has decided to empty its warehouses of food items, soaps, footwears and tones of other relief materials to residents and victims of Boko Haram in Buni Yadi, Yobe State in North East Nigeria.

It is definitely obvious that a lot of hungry stomachs in Buni Yadi will not go hungry again for a long time to come because the shipments of rice, vegetable oil and others to their camps is so massive! – Well that’s if they government officials there don’t start diverting the bulk of these relief items to be sold in their wives’ shop.

#THISISNIGERIA

On the whole anyway, let’s give a big round of applause to the authorities of the Nigeria Customs Service for their foresight and generosity. Atleast they’ve finally realised that it will be fair game for the whole country to share in their massive loot at our nation’s borders.

But, when will they start giving out all the seized luxury cars they are selling at cheap prices to themselves. If anybody know when and where they’ll start doing that please alert me so that I can position myself for better Customs rain 🙂

Today We Mourn the Prince of Pop

Legendary artist Prince was found dead in the lift of his home in Minnesota on Thursday. He was 57.

While I had never met him, he has had such an indelible, lasting impact on the fashion industry. He created pop culture  and what would style be without the former? He is one of the few music icons in history that has given music its identity, the first pop icon to wear a bikini on stage, the hard to categorise music legend who has over 39 studio albums to his credit.

He is iconic, a super star, his message spoke to the youth across many generations…

….But today, he is no more…

Today, we at My Social Naija (MSN Community) mourn the Prince of Pop, it is so sad to lose you at such a young age. You are not dead because your music will continue to be with us and your voice will continue to inspire us.

Rest in perfect peace until the day we meet in paradise.

Amen!

AFTER 55 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE - NIGERIANS STILL SHOUT "UP NEPA!"

Isn’t it a shameless irony and reality of the way of life of the average Nigerian that he does not have full privilege and right over the commodities and services he purchases either from private or public arms of the the nation’s economy.

It is only in Nigeria that you have to beg for the services you are paying your hard earned money to get. If you don’t beg, you either lose that service, shuffled aside or molested by the provider of the service and to add salt to the injury the very arm of government that was instituted to protect consumer rights have either gone to sleep or are dead for good, even the security arms are tools of violence in the arms of these service providers.

It is only in Nigeria that you are pressured to pay exorbitant prices for epileptic services provided by the government to the people. Such is the case of our  diabetic power sector and the forebearers of the former popularly known as NEPA aka PHCN (Please Hold Candle Nigerians). As an average Nigerian citizen, you are forced to cough out unbelievable amounts of money to pay for an electricity bill that was hardly provided to you.

The shout of the UP NEPA slogan first started shortly after the independence of Nigeria when the National Electricity Power Authority first made its historical debute of supplying electricity to Nigerians via the national grid. The electricity distribution was being provided on a state by state level as at that time. So indigents of states that are yet to receive electricity were  eager to see the amazing wonders of NEPA. So whenever a state is lightened up on the national power grid for the first time, the Nigerian citizens will scream UP NEPA!.

But unfortunately, the reverse is the case today as that slogan has successfully found its way into our daily lives because of the unrepentant of NEPA and our government to ensure that we remain in total black out all across the nation for decades. The power sector that has once been a gigantic national pride has over the years reduced itself to a shameful object in our national history. Not excluding corruption and the insensible short-sightedness of our leaders, UP NEPA is now a shameful slogan in the ways of life of Nigerians who have no option than to keep shouting UP NEPA whenever the epileptic power comes around for a little while.

The “UP NEPA” slogan was meant to be a stuff of legend in our history books, peacefully at rest for all eternity in our museums, libraries and national archives. My generation wasn’t supposed to shout the slogan long after my grandfather and father’s generation have shouted it. But shamefully, generations after me are now chew the slogan in their mouth like biscuit. I even saw a 2 year old child learning to talk screaming UP NEPA as the first words in mental vocal diary – isn’t that shameful?

Nigeria will soon mark its 56th birthday and shamefully, its citizens’ brains and minds has become the final resting place of the shameful “UP NEPA” slogan.

If this shameful act continues after our 56th birthday, our leaders should all go and cover their heads in the ashes of shame, the entire Nigerian governmental structure overhauled, the National Assembly scrapped, and brilliant minds brought on board once and for all to find an end to the evil monster called “UP NEPA” that has been living among us for ages or what do you think?

Wizkid & Linda Ikeji's Beef - Comical Relief in These Lean Times in Nigeria

Nigerians, especially the youth has been groaning for the past few months since the APC presidential candidate ascended into the No. 1 seat of the nation. People complaining from the South West to the South East, from the North West to the North Central over the lack of basic amenities needed to live a proper life in Nigeria. Our national budget even went missing at a particular time and we started to fear it would end up on suya and akara stands but thankfully, it was recovered but yet to be passed sha.

Massive unemployment and job lay-off have taken their toll on the fabric of the nation. production industries are also rapidly grinding to a stop and the future looks somehow bleak for the nation.

Well, some well known personalities have these auspicious moments in our nation’s history to stage their beef by tendering it on the table of jobless and idle youths desperately searching for succour on social media while wasting away.

Linda Ikeji was the one that launched the assault by publishing a story of Wizkid being getting evicted by the landlord of the lekki mansion he claimed to have bought some years back…hmmm.

You can tell that the news does not go down well with our famous “Yaagaa” Star Boy Crony Musician as he fired back on Linda Ikeji and started calling her names…I even read somewhere that he called her a prostitute who shamelessly had sex with his manager in his hotel suite and that one left her there to go and rendezvous with his family at home. That’s not all, I also heard from somewhere that he rained abuses and curses on her mother and family and even threatened her life.

Well, aunt Linda Ikeji got scared out of her skin and quickly ran to the Lagos state commissioner of police for help (I guess rich people are so scared of dying anyway…all that stashed money in her account..hmmm)

Long and short of the story is that the CP has gotten Mr. Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid to sign an undertaking that nothing will happen to aunt Linda Ikeji’s life and he will be held responsible if anything happens to her…well, Wizkid will have to move his house to aunt Linda’s gate as security now because if anything should accidentally happen to our ageing aunty…hmmmm…he won’t be spared at all..

And to aunt Linda Ikeji, stop publishing personal articles for the purpose of the publicity you are ready to die for…another man may not threaten you verbally o….and we don’t want to lose you soon as well.

We Nigerians can drink a cup of chilled water and smile on this while we momentarily forget that the current economic situation of our nation does not favour us at all…and it doesn’t favour our data plans as well…

You can see more screen shots of their social media cannons in the gallery above

National Assembly's Acquisition of 108 SUVs - Total Financial Recklessness in these lean times

It is a total surprise that our Nigerian National Assembly will decide to opt for acquiring 108 Toyota Landcruiser SUVs valued at N35M naira each.

Nigeria is currently going through an historical financial and economic crises that is threatening the peace and sustainability of the nation. All our economic sectors are constantly recording poor turn over, inflation has soared to its highest, both government and private jobs are busy laying off workers and amidst all of these, the dollar is stifling the life-line of our fatherland.

Inspite of all these negative trends on our nation, the governmental arm of Nigeria has decided to spoil themselves with brand new toys they call cars. Yes, it is a shocker, the Nigerian National Assembly has procured 108 Toyota Landcruiser Jeeps. These vehicles are actually valued at N17M  per vehicle on the dealer stand but our immaculate National Assembly procured each one for N35M from their mystery dealer. you sef shout EHN!?

Well that’s the truth, and this is coming just after our senators has pocketed all their transport allocations, received their official vehicles and all the other pecks associated with their office.

I even heard that the vehicles were purchased for the national assembly committees. So, these questions begged to be asked?

  • Do we have 108 Committees in the Nigerian National Assembly?

  • What happened to the numerous vehicles that these Committees have been operating with?

  • Why can’t the sales of these vehicles be postponed to a later date when the country is in a more safer state

  • Why are the SUVS more expensive than the ones we have on the market?

I also heard that the Jeeps were purchased because the Committees refused to used the buses that were purchased for them on the grounds that the buses are not fast enough to take them to where they have to work. Hmmmm….isn’t that funny abi?

So let’s conclude that the state-of-the-art buses procured for our National Assembly Committees are no longer fast enough to convey members to and from their destination. That also means that those buses are now useless, if so what will be the fate of the buses? they will be auctioned to committee members abi?

…I am just observing!…

Funke Akindele & JJC Skills in Hot Romance???

The recent news making the rounds on social media is that the popular yoruba celebrity actress Funke Akindele has been wearing pyjamas in JJC’s house and she’s been cooking for the sensational hip hop artiste’s children as well.

I even heard that she has been trying so hard to keep their love affair a secret from the eyes of the public but JJC doesn’t seem to share that idea with her because he has been busy posting videos on snapchat that showed them in various romantic moods and especially one where his mother was praying fervently for the actress that she would bear fruit of the womb and give her good grandchildren of which Funke replied with a resounding AMEN!

Hmmmmm…I am happy for her anyway because she is not getting younger and she needs to settle down for good. I hope she finds joy in the house of JJC Skills and I wish them the best.

…but sha, should incase matters turn south…I would really love to propose to her because I am in love with her and would love to settle down with her…#fact

[HILLARIOUS] Merlin Version of Buhari

[ITS OFFICIALS] China has granted Nigeria $6bn Infrastructure Loan

China has just offered a whopping sum of $6bn Infrastructure Loan to Nigeria and there are really no papers or agreements needed to get the funds down here…all that’s needed is for Nigeria to identify the infrastructure projects and the loan will be accessible straight!…hmmmm…smell something fishy?…

Don’t you think China is starting to treat Nigeria like its new found African baby…ever since it has decided to spread its world economic reach into Africa, Nigeria has been a high priority for China. In the words of the Chinese President Xi – “Nigeria will always have a special place in the affairs of China”…huh?

Its so strange that a China man with all his stingy and self centred traits would just give  away $6bn just like that sha..

It is a known and well established fact that China is eyeing our oil, mineral resources, agriculture, infrastructure and production sectors and are ready to move in their big machines to commence work once the government gives the green light..

So this is very simple….they need the government to give them the permission to come and start making moves to reap bountiful harvest out of Nigeria so they are dangling a $6bn carrot in the eyes of President Buhari (the cap in the hand man) …a $6bn carrot project that will also be handled by same China man and the money repatriated back to their treasury…. either way…Nigeria will be stuck in between….

And we all know what dealing with a China man means sha…

I even heard somewhere that our mighty CBN has signed an agreement with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited to switch over our foreign reserve from dollar (Eurobonds) to Yuan-Bond…

I’m I the only one smelling an occupation/colonisation of Nigeria by China?

Swiss Ambassador who came to Nigeria with his Gay partner under investigation by the Federal Government

It is no longer news that foreigners especially the Europeans do not respect our laws at all. The sovereignty of our nation to them sounds like a joke and they come into Nigeria trotting about as if they are above the law but not this time because the tide is starting to turn against them.

Words on the street has it that the man in the photo is known as Mayooraz and he is the Swiss Ambassador that was posted to Nigeria last year to head the Swiss Mission and that among his many luggages he brought to Nigeria with him was his gay partner known simply as Carlos from Brazil.

So that white man thinks he can just come and be practising that rubbish in our father land ehn? So he is telling us that our anti-gay laws means nothing to him abi? okay we shall see….

….because as I am speaking now, our Federal Government is currently probing him and they have promised us that if it is indeed true that the man is in the country with his gay partner, he will be made to face the full wrath of our anti-gay laws here…

….I just hope politics of vested interests doesn’t come to play in this case…

[PHOTOS] Nigeria Army now have its own Petrol Station!

Just came across this online and I should say its a good development that Nigeria Army has joined the long list of oil prospeteers in Nigeria. The petrol station is an 8 pump filling station located around Bakungu bye-pass, Minna and it is licensed under Nigeria Army Properties Limited (NAPL). Why does everyone seem to be focused on the petroleum industry nowadays despite the massive scarcity of fuel currently rocking the nation?

Nigeria Army of all government arms should know that they are a leading figure and the eyes of the world are on them. I see no reason in why they didn’t choose to set up an agriculture based venture which I presume will go a long way in feeding the soldiers on the front line battling insurgency in the north. And such move would have also encouraged other government agencies to follow in their footsteps to continue building agricultural facilities and ventures which research has shown is the next viable alternative to oil for Nigeria’s prosperity and development.

Its a surprise that while we still can’t get enough oil from the already available petrol stations, Nigeria Army is building theirs!

[RWANDA GENOCIDE] Lessons Nigerians Should Learn

22 years ago, a massive crises broke out between the Hutus and the Tutsis in Rwanda. About a million people (mostly tutsis) lost their lives over the course of 9 months. Sadly, this happened in a country where they speak only one language and have only one culture but the unity in tongue and culture was not enough to stop them from descending on each other.

Nigerians are currently playing with the helms of fire, our selfish politicians have been able to divide us by seeing our brothers from other regions of the country as enemies and possible suspects. The inferno is gradually rising to its destructive tempo, if allowed to continue unchecked, we might soon have to looking over our shoulders while walking on the streets.

Unity is our watchword in Nigeria and we must do all that is possible to ensure that our unity is not threatened by our diversity.

The International Community called the Rwanda crises many names; some call it Genocide, others, Massacre and others Crimes Against Humanity but I Ayo Adeyemi call it brothers turning on brothers.

Let us remember the Rwandan story so that we won’t miss our paths. LESSON FOR ALL
