COUNSEL : Benin Republic to extend Sunday Igboho detention by 6 months - Yoruba Nation

Sunday Adeyemo, who is also known as Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba nation agitator, is intended to spend additional six months in prison in Benin Republic after the unlawful detention without trial in Benin Republic.

Yomi Aliyyu, one of Sunday’s Counsel stated on Sunday night, that contrary to what was said in the news by a lawyer that Igboho would be released, the government has extended his detention by six months despite the fact that there was no criminal record of files in Cotonou or extradition request from Nigeria.

He quoted: “ Sunday is no doubt a courageous man. It is very authoritative only if the Yoruba leaders would stop being selfish and allow good to dominate”. He further concluded that him and others would meet the ECOWAS Court, Though they never obeyed…
