Herpes are like water filled blisters that appear at the corner of the mouth and can appear and reappear. The Yoruba's calls it Ishinu while some would say its a sign of you having a fever.
Herpes also known as cold sores can causes fever, body aches, Headaches, swollen lymph nodes and can be spread by either kissing, oral sex, sharing of things like cutlery, lip balm, lipsticks, contact with saliva or other body fluids.
Cold Sores are viral infections caused by HSV-1. the other type that is contacted sexually (Genital Herpes) are the Type 2 HSV.
"Without treatment, most blisters would break or weep, dry and heal up within two weeks. Herpes can be treated faster with oral antiviral medications.
Since its a virus, it has no Cure but Taking Antiviral Medication prevents outbreaks especially the STD type. the most preventive way is to avoid direct contact with someone who has it and practice good hygiene.
