NASARAWA STATE POLY LAFIA GETS APPROVAL TO RUN 11 HND AND 4 ND COURSES.

 

Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia, has been approved full accreditation to run 11 HND and 4 ND programmes in the institution.

Justina Kotso, The Rector of the Polytechnic, in her statement that was signed and and made available to the journalists in Lafia, said that the full Accreditation course of the Isa Mustapha Polytechnic would run in a period of 5 years.

In her statement, she said, the twenty programmes that were submitted for accreditation,  the accreditation team who were in the polytechnic between 6th and 10th of December last year has granted only eleven full accreditation for HND and  for ND Program and that it would be a period of 5 years with effect from 2021/2022 Academic Session.

“The Accreditation Program for the HND are Business Administration and management, Public Administration, Accountancy, Leisure and Tourism, Science Laboratory Technology and Microbiology as option as well as Hospitality Management and Urban and Regional Planning. While that of ND course includes Social Development, Statistics, Library and Information Science as well as Mass communications.

Mrs. Kotso further disclosed that the NBTE board gave approval s for the commencement of the programmes such as ND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Architectural technology, HND in Science Laboratory/Chemistry Option and HND in Library and Information Science with effect from 2021/2022 session. She also stated that it also granted interim accreditation of HND in Estate Management for a period of one year.

She also stated that some of the programmes are still waiting approval from the board to start commencement such as ND in Mechanical Technology, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying and HND in Architectural Technology.
