Nosa Rex, Nollywood Actor loses Dad

         

Nollywood actor, Nosa Rex Popularly known as babarex as taken to social media on the death of his father Mr. Friday Okunzuwa Uzamere.

In a touching tribute posted on his Instagram page this afternoon, Babarex stated that his dad was ill and has been on life support since January this year. He added that in spite of his late father’s health predicament, he has been making the world laugh every day while he cries every night.

According to Rex, he said his dad has played the role of a father and a mother in his life since the death of his mum fifteen years ago.

 On his page he wrote:

“Worst moment of my life. (I just got the strength to write this).

Rest in Peace DADDY (MR. Friday Okunzuwa Uzamere is dead).

He was sick and has been on life support since last month.

While I made the world laugh on my page every day, I cry every night.

I tried my best, I prayed, fasted and was ready to go broke just to bring him back to life but God knows best. My dad was my everything. Since I lost my mum (15 years ago) he has been playing the role of a father and mother. He taught me a lot about life and family.

I decided to marry and settle down early because of the relationship I had with my dad.

He was like my elder brother. He had me in his early 20s.. I could tell my dad everything and anything.

With tears in my eyes I say Rest In Peace daddy.

My hero , My supporter , My inspiration , My role model.

 

 

 

 

  

Burati distance self from 2023 presidential campaign poster.

Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, Nigeria's former Chief Of Army Staff(COAS). has distanced himself from campaign posters indicating his interest to contest for the 2023 presidential elections.

Buratai said he has never declared his intention to contest for the office of president in the 2023 presidential election and that he was okay being the  Nigeria’s Ambassador to Benin Republic. He made this known in the statement signed by General Sani Usman, former director army public relations officer Brigadier , issued in Abuja on Sunday, February 20.

in the statement it says;

“The attention of His Excellency, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd), Nigeria’s Ambassador to Republic of Benin and former Chief of Army Staff, has been drawn to calls and dissemination of campaign posters calling on him to join partisan politics and contest for Presidential candidature of one of the political parties by some persons.

“However, it is essential to state that the Ambassador has never indicated interest, discussed with, or directed anyone on such matters. Therefore, such calls and posters should be discountenance as they did not emanate from him, nor is he interested in them. It is entirely the handiwork of some people for reasons best known to them.

“His Excellency wishes to reiterate his contentment and commitment to national service in his present capacity as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Benin Republic. He remains loyal and eternally grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari for the opportunity to serve. He, however, wishes to thank all well-meaning persons, friends and well-wishers who showed concern over this development”.

29 years old installer suffocates, dies in a petrol tank in kwara

A 29 years old petrol tank installer, identified as Ahmed, while working on a petrol tank at a filling station had suffocated and died on Saturday February 19, along Offa garage road in Kwara state.

The victim came from Ibadan with his boss for the job, but while performing the maintenance work on a damaged petrol tank at the filling station, had suffocated and died.

Hassan Adekunle, Spokesman to the Kwara state fire services, in a statement on Sunday 20 February, said the incident had happened at N0. 157 Bovas Fillinf Station opposite Adisco office, Ajase-ipo Road, Ilorin, at around 19:25pm

According to report, the victim was too careless with his life that he engaged on the work without putting on the necessary safety gear. Firemen were able to evacuate the body from the tank and handed it over to his boss identified as Abdulbasit Oladimeji.

SUSPECTED FULANI HERDSMEN KILLS FAMILY OF TWO AND THREE OTHERS IN BENUE STATE.

Gunmen who were suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen has killed a family of two which contains Father and Son, three others in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to reports, four people were killed, few others injured, also several thatched house were set ablaze in an attack at Tes Udeghe-Mbakombur, in Mabapa Council ward of the Local government. This happened around 4.30pm on Thursday, February 17. The victims were identified as Shimayohol Iorwundu, Iorwundu Emmanuel Iho, Chiahemba Orgeen and Nyinongu Orgeen.

Also on the same day at around 7:00pm, suspected herders had blocked the Makurdi/Naka Highway shooting at a moving vehicle which leaded to the death of a female Passengers.

Mrs. Grace Igbabon, Chairman of the Local Government, who confirmed the two attacks, grieved at the constant attacks by herdsmen on communities without provocation. She also stated that they were donating Motorcycles to security operatives when the report came to her.

Mrs Igbabon said the council on Thursday February 18, had donated ten (10) motorcycles to the security operatives in the local government to facilitate the movement of security men in fighting herdsmen militia in the council area.

Bobrisky Gives reasons why he used commercial flight, responds to criticism

Recall in the morning today, February 18, 2022, a video had went viral where bobrisky was captured at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport Abuja, rushing to board Air Peace Commercial Flight.

According to reports, Bobrisky was spotted shoving to catch a commercial flight with his workers who had flown to Abuja to spend the Valentine. This earned Bobrisky several criticisms, and many dragged him for living a fake life.

Bobrisky, when responding to the criticism, said that him using a private jet doesn't also mean he cant fly on commercial flight. He also said the reasons why he used a commercial flight was because his money got finished.

25 Years Old Fresh Graduate gone missing after leaving Ago Iwoye to visit a male friend at Sagamu.

A 25 years old fresh graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, identified has Omowunmi Akinwade, has suddenly gone missing after she left Ago Iwoye to pay a visit to a male friend in Sagamu

According to report, Omowunmi had left Ago Iwoye after her Convocation ceremony on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 to visit the male friend but was said she never got to her destination.

According to Paul Eto, the lady’s male friend, he said he told her the junction to drop for him to come get her himself. He also said that the last time he called and asked were she was, she told him she was close to Sagamu.

Meanwhile, she called him back six times but he claimed his phone was on silent and couldn’t hear his phone ringing. He later called the lady but she didn’t pick up. He continued to call until the next day then reported to the police.

Paul said he also contacted her family members to inform them. After the family received the call, they became distressed and created awareness to the public.

Ghanaian Man Shots wife, for refusing to have sex with him, Attempts Suicide

A Ghanaian Farmer identified as Charles Soglo, 31-years from Adansi Nyakumase, in Ashanti Region, was hospitalized with a gunshot wound  following a failed suicide attempt after shooting his wife, Doris Amoah, 21-years old, for denying him Sex. 

Charles shot his hands, lost two of his fingers and then shot his chest. Charles and  his wife were transported to the hospital when a team of police officers got to the scene.

Chief Superintendent Yaw Ohene, Takyi Adansi Fomena District Police Commander, confirmed the incident to Isaac Normanyo, Adom News Correspondent. he stated that Doris was rushed to New Edubiase Government Hospital for treatment while Charles was admitted to Saint Benito Mini Hospital at Adansi Dompoase under strict surveillance. 

He also stated that the police had recovered a single barrel gun and that charge would be charged after his treatments. 

Nonye Josephine Ezeayaeche Has declared intentions to contest for 2023 Presidential election

Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, popularly known as Living Legend or Mama Africa, a 102 year old Nigerian woman, has announced her intentions to contest for presidency in the upcoming 2023 Presidential Election.

Ezeanyaeche, hails from Aguata, Anambra state, and is the founder of the Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria Group. she paid a visit to the management team of NTA were she made known her intentions to contest for the presidency if the younger generations are not ready. she quoted, "if Nigerians are shying away from Political Participation, i am ready to contest. i have  a vision, i have already prepared a manifesto for myself. if the good ones don't come out to contest. 

 

She has received many awards for her contributions and nation building, including APA, 2021. Ezeanyaeche has joined the list of people who have also declared interest to for presidency in 2023.

 

CHIEF IMAM OF KAFANCHAN CENTRAL MOSQUE, ALHAJI SHEIKH ADAM TAHIR, DIES AT 130

Alhaji Sheikh Adam Tair, Chief Imam of Kafanchan Central Mosques, has died after a brief illness.

According to Muhammad Kassim, Deputy Chief Imam of Kafanchan, He said Sheikh died on Wednesday, 16th February. He also stated that the late Imam had spent many years leading the Jumu'at Prayer at the Central Mosque. he claimed Sheikh was  devoted, a role model to the young, and would greatly be missed by the faithful Muslim.

in a condolence message, Muhammad Isa Muhammad II, the Emir of Jema'a, said Sheikh's death was a great loss to the emirate and the southern parts of Kaduna.

Sheikh was aged 130 years. survived by 26 children, 290 grandchildren and over 200 Great Grandchildren, he would be buried in the morning today, Thursday, 17th.

Suspected ritualist arrested in Delta state after neighbors discovered a coffin in his apartment

 

A man identified as Suremoney, has been handed over to the police after a coffin, some fetish items were discovered in his house in Ubeji, Warri, Delta State.

According to reports, it was stated that the suspect was seen entering the compound by an outsider on Tuesday, 15th February, before informing the neighbors.

To satisfy their curiosity, they questioned the guy and approached him in his room but were shocked on what they saw. His room was decorated like a shrine, fetish items in his ceiling, and a coffin at the center of his room.

Immediately witnessing all those things, they became to pray and the suspect was responding to the prayers by chanting incantations.

A source who is aware of the incident said “Unfortunately for him, God was present with us and his powers failed him. We gave him some holy slaps for him to speak in a language we could understand. Then he began to pray to Jesus claiming he’s a Catholic. He initially said he bought the coffin because he was being disturbed by some forces and wanted to sleep inside it. Later, he said he was told to deposit the coffin on a land he bought for protection.

“We burnt the coffin and handed him over to the police. We’re thanking God for deliverance,”
